Specialized Industrial Design Company Report — Requirements by Field and Reporting as a 1-Person Company

Procedure

1. 1. Choose the fields to report

   There are 8 fields: visual, packaging, product, environmental, multimedia, service, other, and comprehensive design. Choose the fields based on the work you actually perform and the service contracts you plan to take part in. Comprehensive design is for a company that specializes in 3 or more fields, and its sales in the immediately preceding business year, or its average sales over the 3 immediately preceding business years, must be 200,000,000 won or more.

2. 2. Check the professional personnel

   Having 1 or more designers for each field is enough. A 1-person company whose representative is the designer can also report. Check in advance whether the proof of education, work experience and qualifications meets the professional personnel requirements.

3. 3. Prepare and submit the report

   File the report with the Korea Institute of Design Promotion with the business documents, proof of professional personnel and business performance materials. Once the report is accepted, you can be issued a report confirmation certificate and a confirmation certificate of professional personnel.

4. 4. Management after the report

   If company information such as the trade name, representative, location or professional personnel changes, a report of change must be filed within 30 days from the date of the change. The report confirmation certificate is used for priority participation in design development support programs for small and medium enterprises and for participation in design service contracts of the Government, local governments and public institutions.

• Design development performance materials (portfolio, etc.)
• Proof of sales when reporting comprehensive design (financial statements, etc.)

Fees

The office's basic fee for handling permits, authorizations and reports starts from 300,000 won and varies with the number of fields reported and the scope of organizing the proof of professional personnel. We will advise after a consultation, based on the company's situation.
