Hwang Yunsang Administrative Office frequently handles foreign-language documents in immigration and residence, nationality and foreign employment matters. We often translate certificates issued abroad into Korean, or translate Korean documents and have them notarized so they can be submitted to foreign authorities. Interpretation is sometimes needed when we consult with foreign clients or accompany them to government offices. We are recruiting translation, interpretation and notarization partners to work with us on this.
Areas of Recruitment
- Translation: translation of documents between a foreign language and Korean (certificates, contracts, application forms, etc.)
- Translation for notarization: preparing translations to be notarized and signing the translator’s declaration
- Interpretation: accompanying interpretation at consultations and visits to government offices; telephone and video interpretation
- Review and proofreading: reviewing translations prepared by others
Preferred Qualifications
- Speakers of rare languages such as Arabic, Uzbek, Mongolian, Nepali and Burmese (Myanmar)
- Holders of a degree in translation and interpretation or a language certificate
- Experience in notarized translation
If You Wish to Do Translations for Notarization
Translation for notarization is carried out by having the translator sign a translator’s declaration, which is then notarized. Since the translator’s language ability is often verified at this stage, it helps to have degrees, certificates or records of experience in the relevant language. If you fill in the qualifications, education and experience fields of the application form, we will refer to them when assigning work. If you only wish to translate or interpret, you may leave the qualifications field blank.
How It Works
