How to Apply for an Industrial Complex Occupancy Contract — Business Plan, 5-Day Processing and Matters Requiring a Change Contract

Procedure

1. 1. Check the permitted business types

   Each industrial complex has business types allowed to move in under its basic management plan. First check whether your business falls within those types and whether it is manufacturing or another business. Moving into a knowledge industry center also goes through the same occupancy contract procedure.

2. 2. Apply for an occupancy contract before acquiring or leasing

   Before acquiring or leasing industrial land or a factory, submit the industrial complex occupancy contract application with a business plan to the management agency. A leasing business operator attaches a leasing business plan, and an occupant of a knowledge industry center attaches the knowledge industry center occupant business plan.

3. 3. Decision and confirmation

   The management agency decides whether to sign within 5 days from the application date. If it needs to check related permits or consult other agencies, it may extend this by up to 5 days. Once the contract is signed, an occupancy contract confirmation is issued.

4. 4. Start of construction and business

   If you do not start building the factory within 3 years after the occupancy contract without a justifiable reason, the contract may be terminated after a correction order. Not starting the business within 1 year after completion or suspending it for 1 year or more is also a reason for termination.

5. 5. Change contract

   If the company name, business type or business content, site area, building area, or the location of a leasing company moving within the same complex changes, submit a change application with proof of the change and a business plan to sign a change contract. The management agency decides within 5 days, and when a company that has completed factory registration applies for a change contract, it is deemed to have applied for a change of factory registration.

• Certificate of corporate registration or business registration certificate
• Documents on the sale or lease of industrial land or a factory
• For a change contract: occupancy contract change application, proof of the change, business plan for the change
• Letter of authorization (when submitted through an agent)
