Dog Hotel and Daycare Animal Boarding Business Registration — Zone Separation, Flooring and Pet-Friendly Café Report

Procedure

1. 1. Identify the business types

   Decide which businesses you will run among boarding (hotel or daycare), exhibition and transport, and prepare a registration application for each business type. If you sell drinks or food, also plan the rest restaurant business report.

2. 2. Check zone separation at the drawing stage

   The boarding room and the customer reception room must be partitioned, and the hotel (boarding) zone must be separated from the play and customer areas. There are cases where registration was refused because the zones were not separated, so check with the drawings before interior work starts.

3. 3. Meet the facility standards

   Install double doors and a locking device at the entrance, and finish the floor of the exercise area with a material that makes excrement easy to clean up. Artificial turf or a wood finish can be grounds for having to redo the work, and if the site is close to housing, measures against noise and odor are also needed.

4. 4. Complete business operator training

   Complete the business operator training under the Animal Protection Act and receive the certificate of completion. The certificate is included in the registration application documents, and regular training is also mandatory after registration.

5. 5. Apply for registration

   Submit the business registration application for each business type and the facility documents to the competent city, county or district (si/gun/gu) office. Registration is processed after the official in charge checks the facility.

Fees

The registration fee is a small amount and is charged separately. Service fees in the industry are generally around several hundred thousand won and vary with the number of business types registered and whether a rest restaurant report is handled together.
