How to File a Registration of Change from Domestic Travel Business to General Travel Business — Capital, Guarantee Insurance, Articles of Incorporation

Procedure

1. 1. Check the registration standards

   Capital must be at least 50,000,000 won for general travel business, at least 30,000,000 won for domestic and overseas travel business, and at least 15,000,000 won for domestic travel business. The office must be in a place whose use on the building register is suitable, so check the current office again as well.

2. 2. Capital increase and articles of incorporation

   A corporation that lacks capital first completes registration of the capital increase, and amends its articles of incorporation if the business purposes do not include general travel business or wording that covers it. A sole proprietor proves capital with a statement of business assets and its supporting evidence.

3. 3. Increase the guarantee insurance

   The insured amount of travel business guarantee insurance is set according to the type of business and the sales of the immediately preceding business year. Prepare a policy with the insured amount raised to meet the general travel business standard.

4. 4. Apply for registration of change

   Apply for registration of change to the city, county or district (si/gun/gu) office having jurisdiction over the office location within 30 days from the date the ground for change arose. The figures in the financing plan of the business plan must match the financial statements and capital evidence to reduce requests for supplementation.

5. 5. Follow-up after registration

   On receiving the new tourism business registration certificate, also change the business type and item on the business registration, the website, the terms and conditions, and the wording on business cards. The registration standards must be maintained for as long as the business operates.
