Venture Nara Product Designation Application Procedure — Eligible Companies, Item Catalog Number and the 6-Year Designation Period

Procedure

1. 1. Check whether you are eligible for designation

   Check whether the company falls under an eligible type, such as a venture, startup, youth or social enterprise, and whether it is a small or medium enterprise (SME). Products produced on consignment overseas, semi-finished products, and products with the same item identification number that are already registered on the Comprehensive Shopping Mall under a unit-price or catalog contract are excluded.

2. 2. Align the factory's registered industry type and prepare production evidence

   For a directly produced product, check whether the industry type in the factory registration matches the items actually produced. If the industry type differs, go through the change procedure first; for domestic consignment production, prepare the consignment contract and the production evidence.

3. 3. Bidding qualification registration and the item catalog number

   Complete bidding qualification registration on Nara Jangteo (KONEPS), and request cataloging of the product in the Public Procurement Service's item catalog information system to obtain an item catalog number. If you have already obtained one, it is accepted as is.

4. 4. Apply for designation under the public call for candidates

   Submit the application documents within the period and to the place of receipt stated in the public notice calling for candidates, issued jointly by the Public Procurement Service and the recommending institutions. The receipt period is fixed for each notice, so if you miss it you must wait for the next notice. Write the product description in the order of applied technology, functions, and usability for public institutions.

5. 5. Deliberation, designation and product registration

   Once the product is designated after deliberation by the Innovative Procurement Affairs Deliberation Council, register the company and product information on Venture Nara. The designation takes effect after product registration is completed, and once you receive the designation certificate you may use the designation mark on products and promotional materials.

• Certifications and test reports (if held)

Fees

Service fees in the industry for handling the designation application range from several hundred thousand won up to the 1,000,000 won range and vary with whether correcting the factory's registered industry type or applying for the item catalog number is also needed.
